A psychological thriller with a truthful twist. However all is not as it seems. “In memory of Mark”
Published at : September 17, 2021
Hello, Finally here is a trailer for LOT. The short film has taken me a year to make as I am out of work due to the pandemic and currently recovering from alcohol dependency. I also have my own mental health issues being OCD, ADHD and depression which makes life difficult but I guess it's made me who I am today. Two months into the making of this film I went through a home rehab program for AD and as of today have been dry for nine months. There have been many hurdles to overcome throughout this process and I have been tested to the limit. I wrote the film in October 2020, designed and hand-built the sets and props created the wardrobe for all involved, produced it directed it and the hardest job of all was learning Davinci resolve from scratch enabling me to edit Lot into the vision I had.
However, the biggest hurdle by far was dealing with the death of my close friend and co-actor in Lot Mark Winks. Mark succumbed to mental health only three weeks after filming.
As a former minister, the family asked me to take the service which I of course did but it has been extremely hard editing Mark knowing he is no longer with us.
This film is dedicated to his memory and my recovery.
Thanks for reading my short cover note.
PS this trailer and the film have not been graded.
Warmest regards.
Johnny
