Starting Broccoli and Ornamental Cabbage indoors from seeds in zone 8b

00:00 - 01:07 This part of my journal covers preparing seed trays and planting Ornamental Cabbage and Waltham, Sun King and Calabrese broccoli seeds according to package instructions. I meant to say the Strawberry Cabbage Lettuce. This one is lettuce, not cabbage.
01:08 - 01:52 Day 3 most of them sprouted. The lettuce never sprouted but they did sprout for me last year.
01:53 - 02:55 2 week update
02:56 - 03:55 3 weeks. I had to raise the broccoli 10 inches to avoid leggy seedlings.
03:56 - 4:40 4 weeks
04:41 - 05:30 5 weeks
05:31 - 06:43 They are ready to plant out after 6 weeks. The cabbage already has beautiful color in the middle.
