About 10 years ago, 15 women pursued profession aboardship in the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG).

Among them, three non-officers finished the required shipboard duty and only one female officer completed Command at Sea.

Today, out of almost 2,000 members of the Coast Guard Fleet, 83 women, composed of 49 officers and 34 non-officers, have chosen the said career once dominated by men.

With the increasing presence of women in the profession, how does the PCG encourage a conducive and gender-neutral working environment for its male and female members?
